Bowie Crimp Disc Models

Bowie Crimp Disc

After an Aero-Mulcher spreads straw or hay, the mulch has to stay put long enough for seed to sprout. The tractor-drawn Bowie Crimp Disc presses the fibers into the soil, anchoring the mulch blanket against wind and water. On rolling and flatter ground, crimping is a quicker and more effective way to hold mulch in place than spraying a tackifier.

Heavy-duty .256" steel coulter blades on 6" spacing turn on heavy-duty sealed bearings built for long service in rough conditions. The Crimp Disc comes in two configurations: a 3-point hitch model for tractors with a rear hitch, and a drag-type trailer model that tows behind. Both are 8 feet wide, covering a broad path on every pass.
