Aero-Mulcher

Bowie Aero-Mulchers, also known as straw blowers or hay blowers, break up baled hay and straw and shorten the fibers, then spread them evenly with a high-speed airstream. The result is a protective blanket of mulch that shields seed and soil from wind, rain and sun while vegetation takes hold.

On steep slopes, the mulch is usually held in place with a sprayed-on tackifier. On rolling or flatter ground, the tractor-drawn Bowie Crimp Disc is a quicker and more effective way to anchor it. Choose the compact MG-30, which handles about two bales a minute and blows roughly 35 feet, or the mid-size SG-50, which moves up to 7 tons per hour as far as 60 feet. Both come skid-mounted or on a trailer.
